Dr. Gianna Moscardo is a Professor in the Faculty of Law, Business and Creative Arts at James Cook University. Before joining JCU as an academic seven years ago, she worked as Project Coordinator with the CRC Reef Research, managing a series of research and extension activities aimed at enhancing the sustainability of tourism activities in Northern Australia. Her qualifications in applied psychology and sociology support her research interests in understanding how tourists make decisions, evaluate their travel experiences and respond to interpretation. She has been an author or co-author of more than 130 internationally refereed academic publications including 2 books on interpretation. In 2006 she was elected a Fellow of the UNWTO’s International Academy for the Study of Tourism.

What makes Wally unique is his understanding of private, public, Iwi and community sectors. Wally is Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Management (FNZIM) and Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit (ONZM)

Joe has tribal affiliations to Ngai Tuhoe and is a native speaker of te reo Maori. Joe's immense experience and knowledge of the public sector spans many years as a senior manager and policy analyst/adviser. Joe specialises in bicultural and Treaty strategies.
Joe and his wife, Jo, are the owners of Te Urewera Treks, operating from the small community of Ngaputahi in Te Urewera.
