We network to share our knowledge, extend our skills and speak with a collective voice.
This interpreters network enables our members who live and work in diverse, far flung, and sometimes remote places to communicate with each other, sharing ideas, resources, and support.
Membership not only includes New Zealanders working in New Zealand, but also includes New Zealanders working overseas, and overseas interpreters keeping in touch with interpretation in this part of the Pacific.
INNZ is closely allied with our sister organisation, Interpretation Australia Association (IAA). We held a joint interpretation conference with IAA in Rotorua in 2009. We have also established relationships with related local organisations such as Museum Educators Association of NZ (MEANZ), NZ Historic Places Trust, and others. Our relationships with these organisations provide us with additional support and networking opportunities.
